United Appeal for Athens County 2-1-1 Information and Referral program brings a new service to Athens County with assistance from a grant by the Athens Foundation. This easy to remember 2-1-1 telephone number can be used free of charge, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, by any county resident to get help or give help. The service is a convenient reference point for finding volunteer opportunities as well as a starting point for searches such as finding in-home health care or assistance after natural disasters.
